Rack Mounted USB Keyboard

Angel Kitty, a Taiwanese company which makes costumes for Japanese girls, had a very strange product listed in 2006: A rack-mounted, full-featured USB Keyboard.

It is a geek’s wet dream, even if the entire thing is very unergonomic:

As of 2007, this item is no longer produced but that doesn’t make it any less wacky. While it was being sold, it cost 15750 Yen, which is about 96.5 Euro. This included the complete “black cat” outfit seen on the photos (but excluding the lady).

the question is: can the keyboard be turned around 180 deg. ?

  2. Nils says:

Looking at the photos I doubt it quite a lot. But that would help usability a lot.

  3. Martin says:

The thing would be really ergonomic if it were a split (ergonomic) keyboard, with the same upside-up orientation as seen in the pictures, but with the left and right sides swapped. Then you could give the girl a reach around.

  4. Nils says:

    Mh, smart idea actually.

  5. Tyler says:

    I’d “tap” that.
