Drink with Chunks

I’ve always known that they sell a lot of weird drinks in Asia. But this one looks… a little weirder than I had expected. Daimaou of Akihabara News posted several photos of the energy drink “Suntory Capsela”:

Heyyy! I remember getting those from the Asian-owned corner store back when I was a kid! God, those were so good! D: It was really fun chewing on the little balls of fruit-flavored stuff whenever I took a swig. Ah, memories… ^^

mm, mm, mmmmm, nearly as good as bubble tea! I love the pearls!

We actually had something similar to this in the US, called Orbitz. It came out in the late 90s, before the travel company was even a twinkle in someone’s eye.

I had two bottles of it in different flavors, but I just didn’t like it. Mostly because the little balls had absolutely no flavor to them. It was like chewing on wax lips, but without the flavor or fun.
