Nils.. very few people here find squid “icky.” You reminded me of the time my mom was confronted with squid in a Japanese dish. She was absolutely revolted, until I reminded her that she regularly shovels down calamari.

You (well, the Japanese) eat squid on a regular basis, and that’s something most people here will find pretty icky. And even if they’re eaten once in a blue moon… these are still sick flavors. No offense.

I think they eat that too. But I guess the Japanese are always after another “kick”. Besides… their tastes are somewhat different, and Eel and Octopus and so on probably won’t raise an eyebrow over there.

I know that when I think of a dessert, “Crab”, “Fish”, “Horse”, and “Oxe Tongue” do not come mind. Although, maybe Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry aren’t what they think of for dessert.
