Final Fantasy is definitely a Japanese cult phenomenon. It is perhaps not surprising that Suntory, a Japanese drinks company, offered “Final Fantasy XII” potions.
These soft drinks were branded after the game and either came in a normal bottle, or a small set with bottles shaped like the potions in the game.
I am not sure whether these are still sold – I really need to learn Japanese – but they were definitely a crazy item. It is noteworthy, however, that Suntory was not the first company to market a MMO-Drink in the real world. Icelandic game studio CCP sold a real-world version of the Eve-Online drink Quafe in 2004. I wonder how long it will take before Blizzard starts selling World of Warcraft branded drinks.

Ooo! The bottles are so pretty!
If anything I would just buy them for the glass bottles’ sakes. ^^
… have you seen the new mountain dew commercials in which two women standing at cash registers inexplicably turn into a dark elf and an orc and start fighting? I guess you’re psychic.
