Canned Bread

Japanese people love conveniences. In Japan, it seems possible to buy pretty much anything from a vending machine, even underpants. Food isn’t really an unusual item to be dispensed in vending machines. However, while you can only buy drinks and maybe snack bars from a machine in Europe and America, the Japanese have a lot more.

Including, it seems, bread in a can:

I have serious doubts I’d want to eat this. It just seems too unnatural to me.

I found this in a shopping center vending machine…I was able to buy a full meal, bread, hot corn soup, cold grape jelly soda and pudding from one machine. I promptly yakked it up among some Hello Kitty clocks and Bucci knockoffs. It’s a shame, I really liked that store.
