You’ve humiliated your cat and turned her into Hello Kitty, but what about that other family pet? The dog mockingly barked at the cat, because he felt safe from such torture.

Well, doggie, think again!

This is just so wrong (unless, maybe, your dog is gay). Why doesn’t the PETA lobby to have such products banned?

Cat Chat Translator

This is a very old product, but no less wacky: The Japanese company Takara Toys, now Takara Tomy, invented a device that translates a cat’s noises. The “Meowlingual” device is held next to the cat, and an interpretation will be displayed on its screen.

As far as I know nobody has yet tried to use the Meowlingual to ask a cat what it thinks of the Hello Kitty Cat Humiliation Kit.

This little gadget actually was introduced way back in 2003, and not a current invention as Weird Asia News suggests.

We begin our excursion into the strange world of the Japanese with what is most definitely a Japanese cultural icon: Hello Kitty.

It looks like you can now buy a kit that will let you transform any ordinary cat into Hello Kitty:

This is a completely crazy idea, and I doubt there is a single other country in the world where people could have come up with this type of thing.

If you would like to see more photos, or even order one of those, you can do so via this Japanese web page. They have tons of crazy photos like the one above, and even a video of the Hello Kitty Cat Kit in action. The kit seems to cost 18900 Yen, which by today’s exchange rate is 116 Euro.
