Potty Training Followup

In October I posted a toilet training video I found on YouTube. That gem of Japanese entertainment tried to teach you and your kid how to take a dump; with a special guest appearance of Hanky-san. However, if you and/or your toddler need some further practice, they made this little toy to demonstrate the principle to your kid:

And of course it’s important to learn how to use public bathrooms, too – especially if you are stuck in Japan and get confronted by their weird domestic toilets.

The following cartoon is designed to teach Japanese kids how to use the toilet. I think any further explanation would be a waste of bytes. Just… watch:

I can honestly not decide whether or not this is real… but I fear it is. Any brave souls who’d rip that tune and play it on their MP3 toilet?

Update: My Japanese friend says this is actually a commercial trying to sell the device at the very end. Kind of elaborate for that.

Ear Cleaner Camera

Cleaning one’s ears is really not as efficient as it could be. I mean – think about it. You take a cotton swab and just move it around your ear blindly, hoping to get all the dirt out. Enter the Japanese:

They invented a device that lets you clean your own ears while watching what you are doing. The product page seems to be no longer available, but TechTickerBlog reports that the price was 10500 Yen (64.32 Euro).
