Hello Kitty Online - Trailer
Think my brain just imploded watching this.
Strange and Weird (and Cool) Things from Japan
Final Fantasy is definitely a Japanese cult phenomenon. It is perhaps not surprising that Suntory, a Japanese drinks company, offered “Final Fantasy XII” potions.
These soft drinks were branded after the game and either came in a normal bottle, or a small set with bottles shaped like the potions in the game.
I am not sure whether these are still sold - I really need to learn Japanese - but they were definitely a crazy item. It is noteworthy, however, that Suntory was not the first company to market a MMO-Drink in the real world. Icelandic game studio CCP sold a real-world version of the Eve-Online drink Quafe in 2004. I wonder how long it will take before Blizzard starts selling World of Warcraft branded drinks.
